A light touch; on the future of mapping back into moiréd memory
1991

A three roomed installation exploring the significance of a unique light technology to re-interpret an ancient form of science. It illustrates the significance of light to delve deep into hidden worlds that can't be seen with the naked eye. It integrates a holographic process called real-time interferometry with other light responsive sculptural elements. Designed to cross reference thoughts between what can be viewed on the videos, with this cutting edge technology utilizing the physics of light, with the evolution of thought as it changed from ancient world views to early natural science (alchemy).

Room1: An all white room, solely lit by a grouping of 4 fiber optics that float in the middle of the room, demanding the activation of one's rod vision. A meditation on light itself.
