40” x 32”

A visual, text and audio work with focus on sugar as energy generation, trade, and metaphors for sustainable generation from the sun. It maps out a participatory and metaphorical reinvention of energy generation, and is an on-going project. Common sugar packets are handed to anyone I encounter, anywhere. They are asked to recall a species gone or almost missing from a locale they know, and write on the packet. The packet is returned to my collection.
